Hi all! It's been a little while since I've done a giveaway on this blog here, so today I am bringing you a giveaway from Dressed! 5 people will win, so your chances are pretty good!
Designed by a marine neuroscientist and her husband, Dressed is an app for apple devices that allows you to put your entire wardrobe into your phone, then dress a mannequin up with every possible combination from your wardrobe! This is extremely useful for me, because my wardrobe is so full that pulling clothes out to decide what to wear in the morning is actually a really tiring task.
  WHAT EVEN IS TECHNOLOGY *___* The way technology is going, soon I won't even have to take proper outfit photos - I'll just have a robot representation of me on my computer, all my clothes uploaded to the interwebs, and I'll just post outfit posts like this: .jpeg)
Hehehe. I am beyond amused/excited by this :') The seasonal backgrounds are just another part of the app... and I spend way too much time playing around with them.
The app is really intuitive, simple to use and super fun to play with. It lets you add each item of clothing in about a minute, then dress up a customised mannequin with clothes that fly in and out and move around just like real cloth! You can take pictures of your own clothes, or find images on the internet (so you could technically make yourself a fantasy wardrobe, too).

ReplyDeleteAnnika, this is SO COOL. This app is such a great idea. I tend to have these grandiose ideas about pieces that would work well together, and a lot of times, they do work, but sometimes they just aren't right and this would be an amazing way to put things together without having to try them on! I think my most worn item of clothing would probably be my cropped black cardigan, or maybe my white ballet flats!

ReplyDeleteI think that my most worn item is a nice black cardigan that I have with pockets and giant buttons. Depending on what I wear it can be dressed up or down and it's a great basic. I guess simple items really are the best sometimes! (I also wear colored stockings a lot, perfect for every season.)
Your blog is awesome and you look like such a nice person! I adore you because you make your clothes by yourself! I have always wanted to sew stuff for me because usually I can't find anything pretty for me that fits me in regular shops. Well, I need to visit your blog more often. Ohhhh I really want this app! I'm gonna check out how much it is though! I really struggle to put clothes together. My most worn items probably my vintage cut off levi shorts, and a woolly jumper I got for £2 from a charity shop a few years ago! xo

Love, love, love this idea of "Dressed App!" Research studies show that everything we can do to reduce "cognitive load" allows us to think on higher-level topics. I think my daughter would love this app, too.
