DIY Asymmetrical Hem Skirt/Skorts | Make Thrift Buy #15

Alright, today's DIY was a bit of a tricky one. I post this video in the hopes that you can avoid the same mistakes that I made! But we got there in the end - and I freaking love how these shorts fit me (they make my butt look so damn good).

Enjoy :)

  1. Now all that's left, is to find the most wackiest print! The easiest seems to be pillowcases haha

  2. That product description is a tongue twister hahaha. I'm trying to get into sewing and this video is super easy to follow! I'll have to make tons of BOOTY ROOM too to any pattern I use haha. Seriously in love with all your DIYs

  3. Love your videos and blog. I tried making a pair of these today but they ended up AWFUL. Tossed 'em. Gorgeous men suiting I bought on sale down in New York's garment district. I was heartbroken. Uhhhhhhgg. Has not been a successful week. (I'm on vacation from school and have been making a garment a day). I made a dress that was way to tight in the top and luckily had enough fabric to remake it. Why!!! Anyway, sorry for the rant I just needed to vent a bit. But love your videos and blog. I check your blog like fifty times a day waiting for a new post. Thanks :)

    1. I HATE THOSE DAYS! Arhgh. When NOTHING works out and you feel like giving up on sewing forever! Feel free to rant away about those days, I know them all too well :) I hope that you have some more successful sewing days soon! xxx
