DIY Novelty Phone Handbag | Make Thrift Buy #11

Happy 2015! I hope that you all had a wonderful New Years and are looking forward to the year that is ahead!

Recreating this Betsey Johnson handbag was my first DIY project of 2015. I don't know why I chose something so likely to fail for my very first project for the year... but, I did, and here we are.

Have a watch, and let me know what you think! I really value your feedback because it helps me make my videos better :)

Love,

  1. This is so cool!! I want to try it so bad now. Definitely will be saving up money for the pieces on the side for this in the future. :)

  3. Awesome tutorial!

I wanted to comment on the music in the video. You've got really good taste! I also like to dress in dresses and get down to huge bassy beats. May I ask who the artist is?

    1. :D ohhh thank you!
There's a couple of artists in there, there's Doctor Vox, Kevin Macleod & Argofox - the links to the songs are actually in the links in the video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs06OuL6Niw - they are creative commons licensed songs which means that the artists release them for free download, so if you like their stuff, you can download their songs for free! :)

  5. Is it wrong of me to admit I thought this would be tacky or a disaster? However it's worked really well. It's unique like you say and has that Betsey influence. Job well done x

  7. This is amazing, if I find an old phone like that in a charity shop I will definitely make something like this. Such a cool idea with the plug in phone, though I'd be a bit worried then if I got my bag wet D: <3

  8. Okay, so this is so dope. You really did an amazing job with this one, and I kind of like yours better than the original since like you said-- no one has a purse like yours! I'm looking forward to your next video!
