I bought some super pink lipstick the other day and I'm loving it! I'm feeling pretty lucky that I now have a whole THREE lipsticks to choose from, oh my! (Although I wouldn't mind a bright blue and maybe a dark violet and a lovely lilac..)
I also love my new jelly shoes but wearing them the last few days has made it clear (I unintentionally wrote that pun then went back and noticed I'd done it, oh dear) that I'm going to have to start a super cute sock collection because now you can see my entire foot! These lilac socks are pretty cute, but I need more patterned ones I think! Anyone know some really cool sock stores? I'm on the lookout for ice-cream patterned socks in particular...

I've been seeing the coolest, nerdiest science-themed christmas presents all over the internet in the last few days, so I thought I'd make you guys a little Science-themed Christmas Gift Guide. I love art/science mash ups.
Microbiology pendant necklace from ctrl alt deviant
Test tube flower vases from Urban outfitters
these personalised Chemistry prints (I want to point out they've written the chemical symbols wrong - always big letter then little letter! - but it's cool anyway)
The nerdiest ever vintage-print chemistry pendants (featuring an orbital and chemistry apparatus) from Left Brain Right Brain
And if you're feeling super ambitious, there's always this DIY project:
Test tube chandelier by Pani Jurek
By the way, thank you so much to everyone who's entered my two giveaways in the last few days! (Find them here and here). I've tried to make them a little more interesting than your average giveaway by asking you guys to be creative. I've really been enjoying your entries :)
Hope you're all super dooper well!

Holy shit I want to make a test tube chandelier! Badass! Also I love the galaxy pendant ... strongly, strongly considering purchasing! Eek! I think they sell ice-cream socks at Dangerfield! Or at least they did the last time I checked. They also had lobster printed socks! :) :)
ReplyDeleteelissiam.
Dangerfield and I have a love-hate relationship, they are so good but always so expensive, and they'd probably be a bazillion dollars. I'll look anyway - I'm going to a Dangerfield outlet in the next few days maybe they'll be on sale! thanks :)
DeleteYou have the best blog ever!
ReplyDeleteYou do!! post more photos they're my favourite thing ever ♥
Deleteplease :)
DeleteWow I've always thought those shoes looked horrid but you have completely turned me around. They look so pristine and timeless!
ReplyDeleteAnd those gifts are brilliant!
The fauna lab tubes are so much cheaper
than I had imagined coming from urbanoutfitters!
Yeah, normally they're massively expensive huh, although some of the reviews aren't great :\
DeleteThough if I were to do this I think I'd probably just steal some test tubes from the labs at uni.
DeleteWHAT I didn't say that.
I'd never do that.
Yeah I noticed the reviews too..
Deleteand when you think about you could probably make your own o=
doesn't look super difficult to make right!?
Also I think I've seen vases from thrift stores
that look similar to that for next to nothing. o_o
Love the gift guide!
ReplyDeleteI've just ordered a beaker mug monogrammed with my College's seal from the Chem Club on campus. I'm so excited for it to come in. :)
And putting plants in flasks and beakers is definitely my favorite type of vase.
